Coach Jake Wartella advises the team in between quarters about strategic plays and what to do next. There was a lot of pressure that was put onto the team and the coaches. They pushed through the pressure and it didn’t get in the way of their playing. Wartella said, It was a great team win against our rival. Im so proud of our kids for showing resilience by fighting through adversity and finding a way to win a huge playoff game!

The coaches of the Pottsville Area High School Varsity basketball team talk to the players about their plays. Coach Tate Clarke said, “I really do enjoy coaching the team and it’s been a true honor to be asked to be apart of the team. I’ve grown closer with a lot more people and thanks to this opportunity my knowledge of the game of basketball has really increased. I think really the one thing I get out of it is the experience as later on in my life I would like to pursue a career in sports.”
