DINE – Lengel students have the opportunity to redeem their Crimson Cash for lunch from a restaurant once per month at the Crimson Cafe pictured here at the top of Martz Hall.

There’s something new that is cooking at DHHL, and it’s called Crimson Cafe.

Crimson Cafe is a reward incentive that offers students the opportunity to each lunch from a restaurant. Crimson Cafe takes place one Friday per month at the top of Martz Hall during lunch periods. It’s $10 Crimson Cash to participate and is limited to the first 10 students who register. The QR codes are located around the building and can be scanned with your iPad.

The restaurant or meal will be announced prior to the date, so students can choose if they like that restaurant or not. October was McDonald’s, November was a catered lunch by Schuylkill Technology Center (boneless wings, cheesesteaks, mozzarella sticks, dessert), and December will be Burger King. Crimson Cafe has had 18 students participate so far, so if you haven’t got a chance to try Crimson Cafe, you should definitely do so.

Mrs. Holobetz, PBIS faculty adviser, said, “we wanted to give our students a different opportunity to redeem their hard-earned Crimson Cash, and the Crimson Cafe seemed like the perfect thing.”

There are currently seven spots open for the December Crimson Cafe, which will be held on Friday, December 13. We will be ordering from Burger King! The students who have ordered from Crimson Cafe so far have really enjoyed their fine dining experience.
