7th and 8th graders take on St. Clair in first flag football game

After a year, the first ever flag football game finally came around. In the school year of 2018-2019, there were two different attempts for this flag football game. Both of those attempts were rained out. Luckily this time, it was a beautiful, bright sunny day! The DHHL Pep Band played for the first time this year, and the Tide Tones sang the National Anthem. This event happened on Friday, September 20. In the same day during the afternoon, there was an outstanding pep rally. The pep rally was practice for the district wide pep rally on Friday, September 28.

At the flag football game, 7th and 8th graders split the field. Both boys and girls played from both grades. The Pottsville coaches, who lead the team to a victory, were Mr. Michael Anthony and Mr. Jake Wartella. The St. Clair coach, who lead the team to a very close game, was Mr. Mark Laubenstine. At the pep rally, the school practiced their cheers with outstanding energy! Overall the day was a complete success throughout the entire school!
