On March 28, six members of the Student Council created “busy bags” for kids in the pediatric unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital Schuylkill. The students that delivered them were Lauren Kelly, Madison Eroh, Kyra Sophy, Armonia Paniagua, Laila Manou, and Ryan Galen. Mrs. Cromyak also came with us.

When we got to the hospital, we all went upstairs and delivered the busy bag boxes to the nearest nurses’ station. The bags were separated into boxes of boy, girl, and neutral. The nurses thanked us and were very grateful for the gifts. The kids will be busy and will have activities to do while in the hospital. The bags consisted of crayons, tissues, stampers, stickers, coloring books, word searches, bubbles, etc. It was fun delivering and getting to meet the nurses.

Student Council is looking forward to participating in more activities like this in the future and helping our local community as well as DHHL.
