Sarah Corse-Campion: Bloomsburg University for swimming

May 1, Sarah Corse-Campion made a commitment to swim at Bloomsburg University. Throughout high school, Corse-Campion had goals – and she made sure to accomplish them. She scored her 1000th point, qualified for both the 100 and 200 freestyle by placing third in both events at the 2017 District XI meet, broke the school record with her time of 1:58:21 in the 200, and was also the first girls’ swimmer to qualify for states since 2005.

How did you make the decision to go to Bloomsburg?

“My decision was made off of a lot of different things because I was stuck between Bloomsburg University and York College for months. For some reason, I could not choose which school I wanted to spend and swim the next four years at. I made the decision of Bloomsburg after really considering which school academically and athletically was best for me.”

Who was your support system throughout your high school career?

“My biggest supporters throughout high school were my parents. My mom and dad always supported the decisions I made and always pushed me to work harder.”

Who would you like to thank for your success?

“I would like to thank my parents and grandparents for supporting me at all events I participated in throughout high school. I would also like to thank my YMCA swimming coaches Linda Jones and Alyssa Vavra for making it possible to pursue what I love doing to the next level.”

Chase Alisauckus

Chase Alisauckus was one of the seniors who led the 2016-17 varsity football team to a 9-2 season, capturing the Schuylkill League title and also winning T102’s football team of the year award. Alisauckus was known for making big plays on the defensive side of the ball, which he hopes to continue at Millersville University.

How did you make the decision to go to Millersville?

“My family and I sat down and compared my college choices for which had the better opportunities for me. I also got to look at all of the schools’ football teams to find out was the best fit for me. After my college search, I chose Millersville University.”

Who was your support system throughout your high school career?

“My biggest supporters throughout high school were my mom and dad. They have been through thick and thin with me and always wanted me to do my best. They never missed a game of mine, which I really appreciated. No matter how good or bad I did during a game, they always told me to keep my head held high.”

Who would you like to thank for your success?

I would like to thank my family, friends and coaches for always pushing me to become to athlete I am today.”
