There are many events in the upcoming weeks happening outside of our school. These are all end of the year rewards for positive behavior involving our school-wide PBIS program.

First of all, the 8th grade class will be visiting Knoebels on Thursday, May 23. This is a huge trip that the 8th grade class has been anticipating all year. The following week, grades 5-7 will visit the Barefield Recreation Complex. 5th grade will visit on May 28, 6th grade on May 29, and 7th grade on May 30. Barefield Development Corporation has generously donated the use of the facility to our students, and they are so excited!

“I am excited to play volleyball in the sand,” 6th grader Jasmyn Baser said.

You might think all of the excitement would die down after those trips, but the following week, all grades will be walking over to JFK Recreation Complex to use the pool, basketball courts, volleyball court, and tennis courts. The students are very excited about this opportunity as well, which was donated by the City of Pottsville.

“I am excited to be able to go swimming at JFK, even though the water will be cold!” 6th grader Sabrina Brown said.

The student body is very excited about all of these upcoming events, and are grateful to our teachers for planning them for us. Remember to keep up with your good behavior so you can attend all of the events!
