The NCAA March Madness tournament started Tuesday, March 19. There were many teams participating in the bracket. Many people thought that Duke would win the men’s division, but Virginia actually ended up winning. In the women’s division, the majority of people thought Notre Dame would win. However, Baylor ended up winning the women’s division. Some of the men’s teams that participated are VCU (Virginia Commonwealth University), Villanova, and Gonzaga. Some of the other women’s teams that participated were Clemson and Oregon.

A few facts about March Madness are that the first tournament was held on March 17, 1939. The University of Oregon won the first NCAA tournament. Lastly, UCLA won the most championships with 11 national titles.
