Coke Pop Art
Kaelen McMullin is a junior at Pottsville Area High School and painted this pop art piece in Painting I with the help of Mrs. Sara Arnold, art teacher. The title of the painting is “Coke Pop Art,” and it was created using acrylic paints. We asked Kaelen a few questions about her artwork:
Megan: Why is this one of your favorite paintings you have done so far?
Kaelen: It is my favorite because the colors really pop and Coca-Cola is a well-known brand in pop culture.
Megan: What is your favorite part of this painting?
Kaelen: My favorite part of it is the Coke bottles because they were hard to draw.
Megan: How did you choose your color palette?
Kaelen: I didn’t choose my colors until I tested them out on scratch paper and I decided to use complementary ones.
Megan: Are you happy with the final product?
Kaelen: I’m very happy with my final product. Overall, I think it was very successful.
